Gloster Gladiators Scout Band

The Band was formed in 1957. They have been known as the 46th Gloucester Scout Band, Christchurch (Gloucester) Scout & Guide Band and are now known as the Gloster Gladiators Scout Band and are a marching Brass band.

Members of the band are aged 8 years upwards and are all members of the 46th Gloucester Scout Group. They play a variety of instruments including Trumpets, Cornets, Baritones, Glockenspiels and Snare Drums. The Members are taught how to play an instrument and how to march. They practice every Tuesday evening, monthly subs are £8 and are to be paid monthly. If you are a member of the Group and would like to join the band please email for details.

In April the band led the Forest of Dean St. George’s Day Parade in Coleford and also Gloucester District Scouts St. Georges Day Parade. They are next out in June where you can catch them in Quedgeley and Northleach.

In 2023 the band have performed at Gloucester District Scouts St. Georges Day Parade, Coleford in the Forest of Dean St. Georges Day Parade, the Coronation Parade in Quedgeley, Gloucester and most recently the Three Choirs Festival Procession in Gloucester, Gloucester Day Parade in September. In November they led Gloucester Christmas Lantern Procession and at the beginning of December they took part in Coleford for their Christmas Lights Switch on Event on a very cold night.
