Sixer’s & Seconder’s Weekend Camp

Please let your child help you pack, so that they know where everything is.  Also please make sure that everything is named, including their Kneckerchief and uniform top.  No Sweets please.

When packing kit it is a good idea to pack similar items in separate plastic bags, they can then find the items easier and hopefully keep their clothes tidier in their bags during the camp.  If you have several children attending the camp, please make sure that each child has their own kit in their own bags.  Please don’t let them bring extra sweets, drinks, games consoles, mobile phones, pen knifes, etc.

No responsibility for personal equipment, clothing & effects can be accepted by the Leaders & the Scout Association does not provide automatic insurance cover in respect of such items.

Cub uniform to be worn, please either wear waterproof coat or put in a day bag so that it can be accessed easier.
Bring a separate small rucksack and drink bottle for using when going out during the day.
Sleeping Bag (zipped up), Blanket & Pillow (we recommend getting a sleeping bag that either says 4 or 5 season or will keep the person warm to minus figures, as it can get very cold camping at anytime of the year, even indoors sometimes)
Waterproof Coat and leggings
Sleeping Mat also known as a Roll Mat, or a self inflating mat, these are very good to use under your sleeping bag in the tent to help keep you warm.  Please do not bring air beds as they take up a lot of space in the tent.
