Gloster Gladiators Scout Band
The Band was formed in 1957. They have been known as the 46th Gloucester Scout Band, Christchurch (Gloucester) Scout & Guide Band and are now known as the Gloster Gladiators Scout Band and are a marching Brass band.
Members of the band are aged 8 years upwards and are all members of the 46th Gloucester Scout Group. They play a variety of instruments including Trumpets, Cornets, Baritones, Glockenspiels and Snare Drums. The Members are taught how to play an instrument and how to march. They practice every Tuesday evening, monthly subs are £5 and are to be paid monthly. If you are a member of the Group and would like to join the band please email for details.
The members are enthusiastic and talented group of musicians bringing energy and excitement to events of all kinds. Whether it’s a festival, parade, carnival procession, sports event or any other special occasion which could benefit from the lively sounds of a marching band.

The Band have performed at Fairford Festival, which was a very wet day, then a sunny day at Bishops Cleeve Street Fair. It is not too late if you would like to book the band for this year please email them soon so that you don’t miss out.
In 2024 the band led the Forest of Dean St. George’s Day Parade in Coleford and also Gloucester District Scouts St. Georges Day Parade. During June they took part in a Youth Parade in Quedgeley and also performed at Northleach Charter Fair. In September they performed three times at Frampton Country Fair, performing their marching display in one of the arenas twice and also performing in concert form. In November they took part in Gloucester’s Lantern Procession and Christmas Lights Switch on and Coleford’s Christmas Lights Switch on event. The last performance of the year was in Dunelm in Gloucester where they entertained the Christmas shoppers.
