Our Scout Troop take boys and girls from the age of 10 ½ to 14. The Scouts meet on Wednesday evenings, Monthly Subs are £10, which are to be paid monthly. Their uniform is a Teal coloured shirt, navy trousers and our Group Kneckerchief.

What don’t Scouts do? At this age, we encourage girls and boys to take responsibility for themselves and each other, with older members leading a small team. They like being with friends and participating fully in the adventure of life. In the Troop Scouts:

Develop leadership skills

Learn emergency aid

Spend nights away - the summer camp is often the highlight of the year

Help others in the community

Cook, both at home and at camp

Adventurous and sporting activities - anything from abseiling to zorbing

Learn survival skills

The Scouts are back face to face and are improving their fitness as part of their skills challenge, they have also built shelters along, fire lighting and other activities.  During March the Scouts started a new hobby and had a go at origami.  They continued working on the Skills Challenge in February with cooking at home.  In January the Scouts started to work towards their Skills Challenge badge, they also enjoyed a game of Scout of Games, they finished the month off with a joint meeting with the Explorers for a mastermind night.  Some of the Scouts are also taking part in the virtual Cotswold marathon.

You can find out more information about the Scouts badges on the National Scout Website, you will find the link for this on our Useful Links page.  Below you will find a diagram showing you wear the Scout Badges and Awards are positioned on the uniform.
