Our Beaver Scout Colony take Girls and Boys from the age of 6 - 8.   The Beavers meet on Thursday nights, Monthly Subs are £10, which are to be paid monthly. Their uniform is a turquoise sweatshirt, navy blue trousers and our Group Kneckerchief.

What’s the best thing about Beaver Scouts?  Activities, trips and making friends are all part of what makes it so much fun for girls and boys. As well as earning activity badges, many Beavers Scouts get to go on camps and sleepovers, often for the first time. Beaver Scouts like:

Being creative - making things and singing

Playing games

Going on visits and investigating nature

Learning about themselves

Getting to know other people

Discovering the worlds of science, nature and technology

Exploring the natural and manmade world

Caring – responding to the needs of others, the local and international community

The Beavers have been having fun orienteering, scavenger hunts and planting seeds.  In October they enjoyed an indoor camp with our Cubs at Cranham Scout Camp Site.  The end of April the Beavers met face to face for the first time since last March.  For many of the Beavers this was their first meeting as they joined Beavers virtually.  In March they enjoyed another joint virtual meeting with the Cubs meeting some alpacas from the Wye Valley, they also had a go at working out codes and then having to search for the item in their home and some mini pioneering with spaghetti and marshmallows.  In February the Beavers  joined the Cubs for a joint virtual session with the Cubs, making play dough and then making a model.

You can find out about the badges that the Beavers can earn on the National Scout Website, you can find the link for this on our Useful Links page.  Below is a diagram of the position of badges and awards for Beaver Scouts.
