The Band was formed in 1957.  They have been known as the 46th Gloucester Scout Band, Christchurch (Gloucester) Scout & Guide Band and are now known as the Gloster Gladiators Scout Band and are a marching Brass band.

 

Members of the band are aged 8 years onwards and are all members of the 46th Gloucester Scout Group. They play a variety of instruments including Trumpets, Cornets, Baritones, Glockenspiels and Snare Drums.  The Members are taught how to play an instrument and how to march.  They practice every Monday evening, 6.50pm - 8.45pm, weekly subs are £1.50.  If you are a member of the Group and would like to join the band please email for details of where to go.

The band have a very busy time this month with two remembrance parade, three performances at Gloucester Quays Victorian Christmas Market, Gloucester Christmas Lantern Procession, and welcoming Santa at Dobbies in Cirencester.  In September the band took part in Gloucester Day Parade.  In July they took part in a carnival in Bromham and also played in concert form during the rest of the afternoon.  In April they took part in their first event of the year, in St. Georges Day Parade in Gloucester.
